Dear Parents

 

I would like to welcome you to St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School on behalf of our enthusiastic children, their supportive parents, all of our dedicated staff, our committed Governing Body and our Parish communities. All of their support, enthusiasm and dedication makes St Catherine’s a very special place.

 

Our aim at St Catherine’s is to provide a broad and balanced education with opportunities for each child to develop their individual talents and potential in a caring, safe and supportive, Christian environment. We want our children to develop into happy and confident young people, who value and respect themselves and all around them and who know that each one of

them is unique and loved by God.

 

As they move through the school our children will develop an understanding that lifelong learning is at the centre of our school life. We believe it is important that the children learn to respect themselves and all members of our community. The children will have increasing opportunities to take on responsibilities for one another through our Buddy System, through the school council and through belonging to one of our four houses. We value celebrating the achievements of our children. We also ensure our children and our community have fun and benefit from the partnership that exists between us all.

 

We are a caring, happy and successful school where our faith lived through the Gospel values enables us to continue to grow. I look forward to the journey that we will take together over the next few years, and to the development of lasting relationships.
