Welcome

Welcome and Admissions

A warm welcome to St Catherine’s Kindergarten, where every child is at the very centre of all we do. As a parent myself, I know how important it is for children to feel secure and cared for in a stimulating and safe environment.

St Catherine’s Kindergarten provides a happy, secure and caring environment, where all children are encouraged to reach their full potential through play. We understand that starting any new setting is a big event for both the children and their parents therefore we hope you find the pages on our web site useful and answer any questions you may have. During the time your child is with us we encourage close partnership with you the parents and other childcare settings your child attends to ensure a secure relationship and the best care and support for your child.

We are registered with Ofsted, Dorset County Council and are members of the Pre School Learning Alliance.  Do get in touch if you have any questions or queries regarding Kindergarten and we will be delighted to help

Our Environment

St Catherine’s Kindergarten is situated within the lovely woodland grounds of St Catherine’s Primary School. We are in the quiet residential area of Colehill, approximately 2 ½ miles from the market town of Wimborne Minster.  In early 2014 we are excited to have moved in to anew, purpose build, integrated Early Years Unit on the school campus.

Aims

A child’s early years are crucial in their development and also in preparing them for later learning. Between the age of 3 & 5 children grow, develop and learn rapidly. We recognize and respect that every child is different, will chose their friends and develop their own preferred ways of learning.

Our Vision is:

•    To provide every child with opportunities for their development.
•    To help each child build their confidence and the interest to learn.

Our Aim is:

•    To be a welcoming and warm community for children, parents, staff and governors.
•    To recognise the value of every member of our community as a gifted individual.
