Friends of St Catherine's

Friends of St Catherine's

A huge welcome to St Catherine's family from the parents.

We believe in making a contribution to the life of the school.

The Friends of St Catherine's:

  • Enables adults to meet, share ideas and feedback to the school
  • gives adults a voice and enables them to contribute to school decision making
  • helps develop a partnership between adults and school
  • consults adults and advises the school leadership of their views.
  • promote ideas and activities where families and children can learn and have fun together.
  • When parents and wider family members are involved children and young people shine and achieve.
Schools are most effective when they develop positive relationships with parents and the community they serve. It is so important to support our school!

We are always happy to welcome new families and those with a love of our school. We also value fresh ideas for making our school even better!

If you are interested in making new friends then we ask that you come along to our next meeting.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Our Aims:

  • To support the school community in developing our children as successful members of society
  • To share the good news about our school widely
  • To support our families and children in whichever ways we can
  • To share ideas and suggestions to improve our school, within the group and with the wider community
  • To raise money for the ‘added extras’

A few comments from our Facebook page regarding the Christmas Fair.

Mrs Jakes " From the bottom of my heart I just want to say how proud I am to be part of a wonderful school. To those parents who donated week by week, to those who worked so hard today, thank you. These events cannot run without you all... The atmosphere was amazing, everyone was so joyous and happy!"

Mrs Whetlor "and that is exactly why there is nowhere else we would want our children to go to school! Great school, great teachers, great parents and great children!"

Mrs Baker "We had a lovely afternoon helping and enjoying ourselves! Such as great community spirit"
