Today the firemen came in to see us to teach us all about fire safety and what to do if there is a fire in our homes or at school. We also learnt about the importance of smoke alarms. The children then learnt all about the fire engine and they all climbed on board!
Reception and year 1 had a lovely day at Weymouth Sea Life Centre. The sun shone and we saw lots of amazing sea creatures. We all had a well deserved ice cream at the end!!
In May for our 'People that help us' topic we have had lots of people coming in to visit us in Reception and Kindi. Candy the lollipop lady came in to tell us all about road safety and her job, Mrs. Kendrick came in to tell us about being a doctor and a policeman and policewoman came in with their police car! The children had some interesting questions to ask and we found out a lot about these special people.
The Reception and Kindy children had a fantastic Forest School afternoon with Anthony and Andy from Cranborne Ancient Technology Centre.  We built two different types of den and then built a fire on which we cooked bread.
We had a lovely time on World book day and the children looked wonderful in their costumes. Thank you to all parents for  their hard work in sorting out the amazing costumes.
A huge thank you to all the children and parents for working so hard to plan, buy and prepare lots of healthy food to make our healthy dinosaurs. The children made some amazing dinosaurs and they ate them faster than it took to make them! This activity lead us to have a discussion about why our bodies need a variety of healthy food and we talked about all our favourite foods!
What a fabulous first term!! We have been so busy - Funky Fingers activities, exploring in Forest School and lots of super learning inside and outside the classroom.
On Monday 1st April we had a 'Thank You' tea party for all the super Mums, Dads, Grandmas and Grandads.  We spent the morning decorating cakes and biscuits which we ate together in the afternoon.
