Home learning

•Daily reading.  This is still very important in Year 6 and it is beneficial for the children if you could ask them some questions about what they are reading e.g. why do you think that happened? What may happen next? Which character do you like best and why?
•Spellings and Times tables are sent home on Friday and tested on the following Friday. ALL children are expected to practise them every night.  Little and often really helps the children remember the words.
•Maths and one other piece of home learning is also sent home on a Friday in the Home Learning folder.
This is due in on the following Thursday so I can see it and prepare the folders to be given out again on the Friday.
Year 6 SATs 2018
SATs week begins on the 14th May 2018.
No child is to be absent during that week please.
More information closer to the date.
